Music
Autumn Term
The Autumn Term saw a large amount of involvement from musicians in all years in the school towards around 6-7 concerts. There were also departmental trips to Proms In The Park up in London at the start of term, plus a trip to see the hit musical, “We Will Rock You” based on the music by Queen. Both
trips were seen as huge successes by staff and students alike.
Spring Term
The Spring Term was filled with concerts and performances of the highest standard, making it one of the department’s busiest terms ever. The first concert of the term was the Experimental Concert, a slightly different theme to pervious concerts in the Music & Drama Centre, which featured some excellent performances, most notably from Mr. Lovelock, James Davison, Phil Gregory & Ross Findlay with their “original" brass instruments.
Summer Term
The summer term saw students returning fresh from the Australia music tour showing off their suntans, and full of stories from downunder - obviously thoroughly enthused by their opportunity to perform in the southern hemisphere.
