For those who enjoy the arts, actor Julian Sands was a notable pupil at Lord Wandsworth College. He is mentioned many times in college journals.
In the Sower in 1972, you can find early photos of him with the Brass Rubbing Society. Julian Sands, Mark Whittow, Stephen Yolland, David Walsh, Jeremy Abraham, Mark Nieuwenhuys and Justin Moyle spent time preparing a Founders day exhibition of their brass rubbings, of Sir John D’Aubernon and son.
However, in 1972 this was a popular hobby and there was concern as Vicars that had important brasses were beginning to forbid it, to protect them.
