Shirley Perrett

  • Activities Coordinator,  pastoral duties in Sutton House.
  • Gosden House and girls' games 
  • Award Coordinator for the Duke of Edinburgh scheme, she helped many students to successfully complete their Award whilst at LWC. She successfully negotiated the hurdle of increasing paperwork and legislation, leaving the scheme in good running order for the future.
  • Her role as second in the Mathematics department she made her self available at all times to pupils who needed help and also to those
    who didn't really believe they needed it! Her use of mind maps in a variety of colours will always be remembered by those who witnessed them.

Richard Haynes

  • Made his mark in Hazelveare House, on the rugby field, the hockey pitch, the tennis courts and in the common room.
  • Head of Classics 
    Coach to the  U14 boys before Christmas, U15A and U16 in the Spring Term and helping with the 1st XI squad. 
    Richard also put a great deal of time and effort into girls' hockey and managed  the U14B and U14C rugby teams 
  • He Coached the senior boys' tennis 
    He was tutor in Hazelveare and the common room was kept on its toes and entertained during Haynesy's time as chairman of that illustrious body. 
  • We will never forget the “clean-up campaign”… Richard left a good legacy of publication, as editor of the weekly news and also of the school magazine, "The Sower".
  • He appeared on stage as compere for a number of staff charity events, as an Egyptian in the old bazaar in Cairo and as master of ceremonies for school music concerts too. 
  • Perhaps his bravest venture was as the prince in "Snow Watt" when he had to ride into the Gavin Hall on the back of the Bursar and the Assistant Bursar who were the two halves of our pantomime horse!
     

Rupert Bazeley-White

  • Catering Manager with our then contract caterers, Gardner Merchant. His boyish
  • His forte was being 'front of house' at College functions whether it was a drinks do at Shepewood or a major lunch on Founder's Day, or even both at the same time.

 

Liz Lever

  • Senior Nurse
  • Raised the profile of the Medical Centre
  • Always the Height of Discretion
  • Proactive in Physiotherapy and Counselling services.

 

Gavin Winter

  • Physics Teacher
  • Dance enthusatis, this become apparent in his part in both the production of Grease (2002) and the Staff Charity Concert of The Full Monty!
  • A dedicated Teacher to both the Juniors and the Sixth Form
